CounThe University of Minnesota women’s golf team finished as the runner- up at 16-team Snowbird Intercollegiate hosted by Northern Illinois University at the par-72, 5,940-yard Pebblecreek Golf and Country Club in Tampa, Fla. The Gophers fired a 309 (+33) during the only round of the rain-shortened tournament, four shots behind first place Yale.

The Gophers placed two golfers in the top five. Senior Terra Petsinger sat atop the leaderboard in a first place tie after carding a round of 75. Sophomore Samantha Braschler fired a 76, placing her in a tie for fourth. Sophomore Sophie Stubbs was the third Gopher to record a sub-80 score, carding a 78 and finishing tied for 14th. Junior Jessica Thomas shot an 80 and tied for 24th and sophomore Lindsay Somrock finished 46th, recording a round of 84.
