twoMinnesota junior Katie Bakken won the individual title at the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational in Winter Park, Fla. Bakken fired a final-round 77 for a two-round total of 5-over-par 147, defeating Amanda Beeler of Arkansas State by one stroke. It is the first collegiate title for Bakken.

As a team, the Gophers finished in sixth place among 15 teams with a two-day total of 627. Michigan State was the team winner with a total of 608, followed by Kent's total of 612 strokes. Among the other Gophers, Karyn Stordahl equaled Bakken's 77 on Tuesday and finished with a total of 154, good for a tie for 13th place.
