Gophers Head Back to Florida for Central District Invite Minnesota is Coming off of a Sixth Place Finish in Miami

The Gopher Women's golf team will make a second-straight trip to Florida, this time to the Tampa area, to take part in the 13th annual Central District Invitational hosted by Michigan State University. The tournament will take place at the River Wilderness Country Club in Parrish, Florida Feb. 18-19.
Junior Banchalee Theinthong is coming off of Big Ten Conference Golfer of the Week honors after her top-10 finish at the Hurricane Invitational Feb. 4-5. Theinthong shot a 70 in the second round, just one shot off of her career-low round of 69. Redshirt sophomore Taylor Quinn had a strong performance at the Hurricane Invitational as well, shooting a collegiate-low 74 in the final round.
Play will begin with 36 holes on Monday, Feb. 18 with an 7:00 a.m. CT shotgun start. The tournament will conclude Tuesday with an 18-hole round, also beginning at 7:00 a.m. CT with a shotgun start.

The Field: Augusta State, Central Florida, Chattanooga, Georgetown, Denver, Iowa State, Kent State, Michigan State, Minnesota, Southern Methodist, Texas Christian, and Vanderbilt.
The Course: The River Wilderness Country Club is a par 72 course that plays at 6,099 yards.
