The University of Minnesota women's golf team combined to shoot a 308 in the second round of the Rebel Intercollegiate in Oxford, Miss.The Gophers will head into Sunday's final round in 12th place.
Senior Jackie Shepherd paced Minnesota on Saturday with a two-over par 74. She will head into the final round in a tie for 32nd place. Sophomore Carmen Laguna posted a 75 and is in a tie for 36th place.
Banchalee Theinthong, the Gophers' leader after the opening round, carded a 79 on Saturday and is in a tie for 60th place. Anna Laorr and Sarinee Thitiratanakorn round out Minneosta's scoring with a 80 and 81, respectively.
Coastal Carolina holds the team lead with a 36-hole score of 573, six shots ahead of Tulane. Baylor is in third with a score of 582 followed by LSU at 585 and East Tennessee State at 586.
The Minnesota lineup will begin play in the final round at Ole Miss Golf Course at 8:00 a.m. CT. The entire third round can be followed live on www.gophersports.com.
