ORLANDO, Fla. (Gophersports.com) -- After one round of play at the UCF Classic at Eagle Creek Golf Club, the University of Minnesota women's golf team sits in 11th place with a team score of 295 -- tied for the second lowest round of the season for the Gophers.
Carmen Laguna paced the Gophers on the first day of play, shooting even par for the day with a 72 to sit tied for 17th. Meanwhile, Anna Laorr and Sarinee Thitiratanakorn each shot two-over par 74s and sit tied for 38th.
Play continues with second-round action at Eagle Creek Golf Club on Monday with the third round set for Tuesday.
