2017-18 | FRESHMAN SEASON:
Played in every tournament and was third on the team in scoring average (76.58), ending the year with the fourth-best freshman scoring average • Was in the lineup in each tournament • Began college career at Minnesota Invitational, tying for 55th (74-76-74—224, +8) • Posted best finish of the fall at Louisville Ladies Fall Intercollegiate, finishing T-32nd (82-75—157, +13) • Finished T-60th at the Florida State Match Up (82-72-82—236, +20), including her low round of the year • Carded her best tournament finish and score to par, placing 31st at the Meadow Club Women’s Collegiate (74-76—150, +6) • Placed T-54th at the Big Ten Championship (77-74-78—229, +13).
Competed at a national level for Scotland from 2014-2016 • Finished third at the 2014 and 2016 Scottish Girls Championship • Scottish Junior Champion of Champions in 2014 • Played on Scottish National Team at the Girls Home International Matches in 2015 and at the European Girls Championship in 2016 • Also played netball in high school, earning Ross High School Under 18 Player of the Year honors in 2015 • Named the 2016 East Lothian Young Sports Personality of the Year and Gullane Juniors Players Player of the Year in 2014.
Parents are Diane and John Free • Nickname is “JoJo” • Has one older brother, Nathan • Is a big soccer fan (Liverpool FC supporter) and enjoys listening to music • Most memorable sports thrill was winning her first match at the European Team Championships for Scotland by holing a 35-foot putt • Plans to major in sports management or geography.
