Gophers Nearly Claim BYU Entrada Classic Title, Settle for Second

Senior Jackie Shepherd Established Multiple Career-Bests, Finished Third

MILESTONES:
Will enter her senior season with a career stroke average of 77.62, currently the third-lowest in program history • finished her junior campaign with a 76.36 stroke average, the eighth lowest in program history.

2011-12 • JUNIOR SEASON:

Appeared in all 10 of the Gophers' tournaments • finished the season with a stroke average of 76.36, second on the team and the lowest in her collegiate career • team counted 28-of-30 rounds played (.933) • established career-lows in 18-hole score (70 at the Alamo Invitational) and 54-hole score (220 at Big Ten Championships) this season • collected three top-20 and a pair of top-10 finishes on the season, including tying for seventh at the Big Ten Championships • named an All-American Scholar by the National Golf Coaches Association• letterwinner.

2010-11 • SOPHOMORE SEASON:
Played in nine of the team's 12 events on the season, including the NCAA Championships • finished the season with a 78.48 stroke average • best finish was a tie for 28th at the Pinehurst Challenge • posted a season and career-low round of 72 during the Cougar Classic • also carded a 72 in the first round of the Mountain View Challenge • letterwinner.

2009-10 • FRESHMAN SEASON:
Appeared in 10 tournaments in her freshman campaign • finished the season with a stroke average of 78.03, fourth lowest on the team • had a strong opening to her career, averaging 75.75 strokes per round in four tournaments during the fall season, the seventh lowest fall average in program history • made a sixth-place finish at the CU Heather Farr Memorial Invitational where she posted an even par 72 in the final round • letterwinner.

SUMMER 2009 • AMATEUR PLAY:
Made it to first flight quarter-final of the Women's Western in Lima, Ohio before losing 1 down in match play • finished second at the Wisconsin Women's State Open after shooting a 36-hole score of 147 (73-74) • won the Yahara Hills Jr. PGA Tournament with a 36-hole score of 142 (75-67) • won the Brown Deer Women's Amateur with a 36-hole score of 145 (72-73) • finished seventh at the AJGA Future Legends Tournament with a 54-hole score of 231 (80-76-75).

HIGH SCHOOL:
A graduate of Kettle Moraine High School • 2008 Classic 8 Conference Player of the Year • three-time Wisconsin All-State Team member • won the BCH Invite with a two day total of 139 • three-time top ten finisher in the AJGA.
