Seven members of the University of Minnesota women's basketball team are set to take part in the 2013 Rondo Days Festival in St. Paul, Minn., on Saturday, July 20. The Rondo Days Festival, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, is an annual celebration to remember the African-American neighborhood of Rondo, which was split by the construction of I-94 in the mid-1960s.
Rachel Banham, Joanna Hedstrom, Jackie Johnson, Stabresa McDaniel, Sari Noga, Micaella Riche and Amanda Zahui B. will all appear at the festival at the Fast Break Club booth from 12:00-2:00 p.m., where they will be signing autographs, networking with Gopher fans and helping with a prize giveaway.
The Fast Break Club booth will be situated in the Rondo Education Center's Outdoor Field at 560 Concordia Avenue (Old Rondo Avenue), which is north adjacent to the Martin Luther King center.
