University of Minnesota head women’s basketball coach Marlene Stollings today announced that registration is now open for her 2014 summer basketball camps, which will be held at Williams Arena on campus. The camps, which will focus on fundamental instruction, sportsmanship, teamwork and developing a love for the game, will run from June 16-21 and include options for girls ages 10-18.
Elite Camp – June 16-17 – Grades 7-12
The Elite Camp is designed for experienced and competitive basketball players and features workouts aimed at improving individual skills, competitive team play and skill competitions. The emphasis of the Elite Camp is to teach and fine-tune advanced fundamental skills of all players. Each athlete will receive attention from Minnesota head women's basketball coach Marlene Stollings and her coaching staff. The instructors will include select Minnesota players, as well as accomplished college, high school and AAU coaches.
One Day Shooting Academy – June 18 – Ages 10-18
Players will receive individual attention from the Minnesota women's basketball staff and instructors, including select Gopher players, to improving their basketball shooting skills. The staff will work with campers on developing and refining their shooting form and technique. Players at every level and all positions need to continue to develop their shooting ability in order to become a more consistent and well-rounded player. Campers will learn shooting skills from one of the most prolific shooting guards, Coach Marlene Stollings, who holds the Ohio high school scoring record for boys and girls and scored more points than LeBron James during her prep career.
Ultimate Gopher Experience – June 18 – Ages 10-18

Join the University of Minnesota women’s basketball staff and players for a movie and pizza following the Shooting Academy camp at 5 p.m.
One Day Team Shootout – June 21 – Grades 7-12
$400 per team (max. 12 players)
Campers will receive a camp gift bag, which includes a camp T-shirt for each of the summer camp dates.
