Bright Minds, Bright Smiles
The University of Minnesota's Student-Athlete Development Department and Delta Dental have collaborated to create the new Bright Minds, Bright Smiles program.
This unique program is committed to teaching children the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and a proper diet, focusing on children between grades K-6. Through interactive presentations and demonstrations, the ultimate objective is to create habits that will continue into adulthood and reduce the number of cavities in children throughout the Twin Cities. To assist with these goals, Gopher student-athletes will visit local elementary schools to demonstrate proper brushing and flossing techniques.
- Educate children on the importance of proper oral hygiene
- Encourage a healthy diet
- Demonstrate the effects of neglecting your teeth
- Demonstrate the most effective way to brush and floss
