The University of Minnesota held one of its Young Professional's Etiquette Dinner, Monday, March 10, 2014 at TCF Bank Stadium. Over 18 teams were represented and 14 companies were in attendance.
The event, a semi-annual networking and etiquette dinner, is an opportunity for student-athletes to dress in formal attire and meet local professionals while learning proper dinner etiquette. This event is one of numerous career development opportunities offered to all University of Minnesota student-athletes in preparation for post-college careers.
The professionals represented Allianz, Ameriprise Financial, BWBR Architects, CenterPoint Energy, Children's Hospital of Minnesota, G&K, GradStaff, Medtronic, State Fund Mutual, Tria Orthopaedic Center, Target, United States Marine Corps and University of Minnesota Athletics.
Gopher alums were also a part of the dinner in basketball's Jamal Abu-Shamala (Medtronic), football's Ray Hawes (retired professional) and Dr. Joel Boyd (Tria Orthopaedic Center), swimming's Josh Hall (Allianz) and Sean McCaffrey (Target), track's Nick Hutton (GradStaff) and Ben Puhl (G&K) and softball's Shannon Stemper (Ameriprise).
