April 16, 2013
The University of Minnesota Dance Team recently held their auditions for the upcoming 2013-2014 season. After an intense weekend, the final team members were selected on Sunday April 14th. Dancers from Minnesota and all over the country attended the auditions. Requirements for tryouts included executing elite technical skills, performing dance styles in both jazz and pom, and conducting an interview with Coach Amanda Gaines. The final day of auditions concluded with dancers performing in front of a panel of alumni judges. The talent was fierce and the dancers thrived under the pressure.
The team is proud to welcome six new members, and all are excited for the upcoming season and feel honored to be a part of an amazing legacy.
We look forward to seeing Gopher Fans at the first home football game August 29th at TCF Bank Stadium.
