teThe University of Minnesota men's cross country team placed 14th out of 35 teams in today's Pre-NCAA Meet, The Furman Invitational. The Gopher runners finished with 367 points, as Stanford took the team title with 56. Alabama's David Kimani won the individual title with a time of 24:06, while sophomore Andrew Carlson was the Golden Gophers' top finisher coming in 18th (25:04).
Four Gopher cross country runners also competed at the 8K Jim Drews Men's Maroon Race in West Salem, Wis. hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Running unattached, Michael Bialick was the Gophers' top finisher at 44th place with a time of 26:20.9.
