Even with an off week, the University of Minnesota men's cross country team has found itself comfortably in the national rankings.

The Gophers are currently ranked No. 17 in the USTFCCCA DI National Cross Country Poll. Minnesota will next compete on Friday Oct. 14, at the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational in Madison, Wis.

- Minnesota won the Hornet Jamboree on Sept. 10.

- Pieter Gagnon earned Big Ten Runner of the Week honors after his first place finish at the Hornet Jamboree. 

- Minnesota placed third at the 2011 Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 24

- Hassan Mead earned Big Ten Runner of the Week after his third place finish at the Griak.
