The Minnesota men’s cross country team embarks on the 2005 season with a No. 25 ranking in the preseason Mondo NCAA Division I Men’s Cross Country Poll. The Golden Gophers have advanced to eight consecutive NCAA Championships and look to extend their streak this season.

The Gophers’ next competition is Saturday, Sept. 24, when Minnesota plays host to the Roy Griak Invitational. Over a third of the top 30 teams in the nation will be competing in the Griak, including Wisconsin and Brigham Young.
