This is the first of our series of features on the incoming freshman class on the men's cross country team, gophersports.com talked to Matt Jergenson.
Matt Jergenson, graduated from Caledonia High School and was coached by Jimmy Westland. He earned All-state honors as a senior and finished 2nd overall in the state championships. Jergenson also participated in track, basketball and soccer in high school and was a member of the National Honor Society.
