With its last race before the NCAA Midwest Regional next weekend, a group of Minnesota runners competed at the Fall Finale this afternoon. The seven Gophers flew right by the competition today after posting a perfect 15 team point total. All though these seven might not be part of the group who competes at the Midwest Regional next weekend, it was a great opportunity for them to get another race under their belts.
Paul Hilsen finished first for the maroon and gold after covering the 8k course in 25:13. Behind Hilsen was Matt Volz who had a time of 25:26, Derek Storkel 25:32, Sean Olson 25:37 and rounding out the top five was Drew Paradis, who crossed the finish line in 25:44.
The Midwest Regional will be on Saturday November 12 at Northern Illinois University.
