2013 | Redshirt Freshman Season
Competed in three meets for the Gophers during the 2013 season including a pair of top-five finishes opened the season at the Oz Memorial, finishing fourth with a time of 19:32.5 clocked a 26:06.2 to finish 142nd at the Griak Invitational closed out the season with a fifth-place finish at the Fall Finale, crossing the finish line at 25:30.
2012 | Freshman Season
Redshirted the 2012 cross country season competed in two events as an unattached runner best finish came at the Fall Finale, placing second overall behind teammate Blayne Dulian with a time of 25:09.00 placed 13th at Oz Memorial with a time of 19:43.22.
Graduated from Dassel-Cokato High School in 2012 high school coach was Brian Bessingpas a three-time All-State honoree (2009-11) a four-time state qualifier (2008-11) finished third in the 2011 Minnesota Class AA State Championship with a time of 15:40.1 (personal best), behind current Gopher teammates Josh Thorson and Riley Macon third-place finish was a personal best at the state meet for Koivisto after placing 18th in 2010, ninth in 2009 and 78th in 2008 the individual medalist at the 2011 Wright County Conference Championships with a time of 16:17.88 also represented Dassel-Cokato at state with the track team.
