Gophers alum Aaron Bartnik, an All-Big Ten competitor in cross country, finished second overall in the five-kilometer race with a time of 15:03.
Competing at Les Bolstad Golf Course, Charlie Lawrence, Obsa Ali and Derek Wiebke were among the top-25 while Minnesota totaled 135 points in fourth place.

A 2017 gradaute of Arlington High School • National Scholastic Athletics Foundation All-American at the New Balance National Indoors • three-time all-state honoree • competed as a prep for Stephen Arnett • won eight conference titles including four-straight 4x800 meter relay crowns and back-to-back titles in the 1,600 meters • captured four conference titles as a senior (4x800 meter relay, 1,600 meters, 1,000 meters, 600 meters) • part of Arlington's school record in the 4x800 meter relay (7:40.6) • earned a spot on the Principal's List four years in a row and a four-year Scholar Athlete at Arlington • also played AAU basketball and was an all-league soccer player at Arlington.

Ali finished the 10-kilometer race at the ISU Cross Country Course in 29:23.06, besting Plasencia's 29:26.0 from the 1976 NCAA Championships.
