Larsen and Storkel are the first Gophers to earn All-Regional honors since 2010 when Ben Blankenship, Mike Torchia and Pieter Gagnon earned distinction.
Minnesota was led by a pair of senior captains who earned NCAA All-Region honors in Ames in Andrew Larsen (18th, 30:51.6) and Derek Storkel (23rd, 31:02.7).

2012 Junior Season: Competed in five races for the Gophers and factored into Minnesota's scoring in all five events made his season debut at the Autumn Classic, finishing 18th overall with a time of 20:48.9 added a 16th-place performance at the Griak Invitational, crossing the finish line at 25:11.4 clocked his personal best eight-kilometer race at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational, recording a time of 24:20 finished 30th overall at the Big Ten Championship with a time of 24:34 led Minnesota at the NCAA Midwest Regional, recording a 36th-place finish and a time of 31:14.33 letter winner.
2011 Redshirt Sophomore Season: Did not compete.
2010 Sophomore Season: Redshirted.
2009 Freshman Season: Gave up a reshirt season to run in the championship portion of the season helped Gophers to a 24th-place showing at NCAA Championships Gophers' number-six runner at NCAA (32:57.3) and NCAA Midwest Region Championships (33:01.7) Gophers' fifth runner (26:41.9), 44th overall, at Big Ten Championships varsity letterwinner.
High School: A 2009 graduate of Tomah High School high school coaches were Bruce Luebke, Becky Baures and Eric Eswien the 2008 Wisconsin Division 1 cross country champion (15:26.1) runner-up in 2007, 13th in 2006 Mississippi Valley Runner of the Year as a junior and senior four-time all-state honoree in track state runner-up in the 1,600 meters (4:14.42) and third in 3,200 meters (9:10.73) as a senior honor student.

Wieland, Wiebke Earn Academic All-America
A three-time Academic All-American, Wieland represented the Maroon & Gold on the Second Team while Wiebke picked up his first career honor as a Third Team selection.
