Minnesota fielded a team grade point average of 3.079 this season as one of eight Big Ten schools to earn All-Academic honors - only the Big East had more institutions honored this season with nine.
Senior Pieter Gagnon, junior Bob Nicolls, sophomore Blayne Dulian and redshirt freshman Adam Zutz represented the Gophers cross country tream on this year's academic honors list.
2011 • Redshirt Freshman Season: Ran in two meets • best finish came at the Oz Memorial where he placed fourth on the team with 20:17.04 • raced the Roy Griak Invitational in 26:33.5
2010 • Freshman Season: Redshirted his first year with the Gophers.
High School: A 2010 graduate of Coon Rapids High School • high school coaches were Denny Green and Don Timm • state champion as a junior in the 1,600m at the 2009 Minnesota Class AA track meet with a time of 4:16.56 • finished third in 2010 with a time of 4:14.80 • placed ninth in the 2009 Minnesota Class AA cross country meet • Northwest Suburban Conference champion once in cross country and three times in track • two-time all-state performer • set school record in 1,600m • also a two-time letterwinner in basketball • graduated with honors.
