Seven of Minnesota's eight wrestlers competing in this weekend's NCAA Championships in Oklahoma City, Okla., have earned seeds. Dustin Schlatter and Cole Konrad are the top seeds at 149 and heavyweight, respectively. Fellow Big Ten Champions C.P. Schlatter and Roger Kish earned number two seeds at 157 and 184 pounds, respectively.

In a rematch of last year's NCAA first-round matchup, Konrad will face Wyoming's Dusty Hoffschneider on Thursday. Konrad claimed a 12-4 major decision in last year's meeting. Dustin Schlatter will face Anthony Baza of Cal State Bakersfield in the first round at 149 pounds. Schlatter is attempting to become the first freshman in school history to win an NCAA title.

Dustin's older brother, C.P., will meet Lock Haven's Seth Martin in the first round. Schlatter defeated Martin, 5-2, earlier this year at the Southern Scuffle. Kish will meet Jeremy Colbert of North Carolina State. Kish pinned Colbert iin 4:22 at the Southern Scuffle this past December.

Other Golden Gophers that earned seeds include No. 4 Mack Reiter at 133, No. 6 Matt Nagel at 165 and No. 10 Gabriel Dretsch at 174. Reiter placed fourth a year ago and will meet either Bobby Pfennings of Oregon State or Mark Budd of Buffalo this year. Nagel placed sixth a year ago and will meet Deonte Penn of Edinboro. Nagel earned a 17-3 major decision against Penn earlier this year. Dretsch will face Kenneth Robertson of Eastern Illinois.

Sophomore Manuel Rivera is unseeded at 141 pounds and will face defending NCAA Champion Teyon Ware of Oklahoma. It is Rivera's first appearance at the NCAA Championships.
