No. 4 Minnesota hits the mat for their final home dual of the regular season on Sunday. The Gophers welcome the Spartans to the Sports Pavilion for an 11:00 a.m. match-up.
LAST TIME OUT
In front of crowd of nearly 8,234 fans, Minnesota and Iowa split the dual last Saturday at Williams Arena, winning five bouts apiece, for a 15-15 tie. The deciding factor came down to the third tiebreaker criteria, in which case, the Hawkeyes came out ahead with a 41-33 advantage in match points.
SCOUTING MICHIGAN STATE
Michigan State hits the road this weekend looking to improve upon its 4-9, 0-6 B1G record. The Spartans, led by head coach Tom Minkel, are searching to snap a seven-match losing streak with their first Big Ten win of the season.
Junior Michael McClure leads MSU and is 25-2 on the season while holding the No. 7 spot in the rankings at heavyweight.
CELEBRATING THE SENIORS
As the Golden Gophers take to the Sports Pavilion today in its final regular season home dual, coaches, friends, and fans would like to celebrate the squad's four graduating seniors competing in their final year for Minnesota Wrestling; Thane Antczak, Matt Mincey, Wes Richard, and Cody Yohn.
MINNESOTA TO HOST NATIONAL DUALS
The University of Minnesota has been selected as the host institution for the 2013 NWCA/Cliff Keen National Dual Meet Championship. The event will take place on Feb. 22-23 on the Minneapolis campus.
Williams Arena will open its doors to the best in the nation beginning with two quarterfinal sessions on Friday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Eight teams will be trimmed to four in the semifinal round scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday and the winners will move on to battle for the championship at 7:30 p.m.

FOUR REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN DUALS
Four members of the Gophers' starting lineup will put their records on the line on Sunday. They are currently undefeated in conference action with three also remaining perfect in overall dual competition.
Returning Big Ten Champions Tony Nelson and Kevin Steinhaus lead the way with unblemished 10-0 records, 6-0 in Big Ten. Scott Schiller is also 6-0 in league play and has only lost one dual this season. Logan Storley (7-0, 5-0) rounds out the numbers, having a perfect slate since returning from injury.
