2009-10 • REDSHIRTED: Posted 17-5 mark at 149 in his first season with the Golden Gophers, wrestling only in open meets • Won six matches by fall, including a team best 0:15 over Justin Koob of Augsburg • Won one match by major decision • First career win came in first career match as s 2:43 fall over Mac Rivard of St. Cloud State • Was runner-up at the North Country Open with 4-1 mark, and forfeit loss in the championship match snapping a season long seven match winning streak • Co-champion at the Worthington Open on 1/16 with a 3-0 mark, scoring two falls and a tech fall • Runner-up at the Dragon Open with a 3-1 mark, losing only to Steven Monk of North Dakota, 4-10 in the championship match • Went 4-2 at the Kaufman-Brand Open • Placed second at the Bison Open with a 3-1 tally, losing only to teammate and No. 11 ranked Mario Mason in the championship match.

PERSONAL: Born Nov. 28, 1990 • Son of Pat and Linda Zilverberg • Has three siblings, David (20), Jamie (22) and Laura (24) • Brother David was also a Golden Gopher wrestler • Father Pat was a Minnesota letterwinner in 1974 • Uncles Larry (1974-76) and Daniel (1978-80) were All-Americans for the Golden Gophers • Majoring in Business Marketing Education • List winning the state title as a senior as his most memorable sports thrill.
