Went 7-6 on the season at 149 lbs. • Competed solely in open meets • Earned four wins by fall • Earned a victory in his first career match on Nov. 15, beating Jake Zeiher of Rochester Community & Technical College 11-7 • First career fall came later in the same meet, pinning Justin Lemann on Concordia College • Tallied a 3-2 mark to open the season at the Bison Open.

Competed for Dillingham High School as a prep • Two-time Alaska state champion • Two-time state runner-up in Alaska • Named Dillingham Athlete of the Year as a senior • Part of a prep program that won two state titles and three regional championships during his high school career • Was undefeated in the semi-final round of all his prep tournaments • Also participated in cross country at Dillingham • Lists his most memorable sports thrill as winning a triple-overtime match at an Alaska high school tournament.
