2009-10 • REDSHIRTED: Posted a 15-6 mark at 165 in his first season in the maroon and gold, competing solely in open meets • Won five matches by fall and four by major decision • First win came in first match with a 11-2 major decision over Shane Primeau of the University of Mary • First fall came one match later, in 6:04 over Logan McAlpin of Southwest Minnesota • Closed season with a 1-2 mark at the North Country Open with an opening 6-2 win over Matt Jeska before defaulting out of the tournament • Placed third at the Worthington Open, going 4-1 and pinning Jack Barnes of RCTC in 3:24 in the third place match • Went 2-1 at the Dragon Open to place second with his only loss to Tyler Johnson of North Dakota State in the championship match • Placed third at the Kaufman-Brand Amateur with a 4-1 mark, scoring a 5-3 win over Allen Rutherford of Labette CC in the third place match • Placed second at the Bison Open, going 3-1 with his only loss a 7-9 setback to Tyler Johnson of North Dakota State in the Championship.
