Jordan Kingsley joined the University of Minnesota wrestling staff as the program’s director of operations for the 2016-17 after wrapping up his career as a Gopher wrestler and graduating from the U of M the previous spring.
Kingsley, an Apple Valley native who won a Minnesota state championship his senior year, was a four-time letterwinner for Minnesota, stepping into the lineup at both 125 and 133 pounds, when needed. He posted a winning career record, with 31 career wins, in the Maroon singlet, including a career-best 13 victories in both his redshirt freshman and sophomore seasons. During his Gopher career, he was a three-time open tournament champion.
He was an accomplished student during his time as a Minnesota wrestler as well. Kingsley was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, graduating in 2016 with a degree in kinesiology.
