Finished his freshman campaign with a 10-11 overall record competing solely in open meets defeated Dillion Horstman of Midland in the first round of the Daktronics Open Also defeated Chad McCannon of Iowa Central in the second round finished with a 2-2 record at the UNI Open (12/8) At the Flash Flanagan Open he recorded a major decision against Bo Bettinson of Waldorf in the quarterfinals Ended the open with a 2:00 forfeit win over Denzel King of Triton Finished fourth at the North Country Open with a 5-2 win over Sammy Roundtree of St. Johns in the first round.
