Five-time wrestling letter winner • Two-time All-Academic • Four-time All-Conference (2014-17) • Four-time All-Section (2014-17) • All-State, including a Minnesota State Championship in 2016 • Second team All-American in 2017 • Was a part of the 2017 senior AA team • Took 2nd in the 2017 Folkstyle junior meet • Finished with a record of 170-19 in high school • was a part of National team for five years • named to Freestyle National Duals All-Tournament team in 2016 • won the 2017 freestyle team national championship  Coached by father John Bergeland 

Son of Jamie and John Bergeland • Has an older brother, Jack • Lists fishing and cooking as interests outside of wrestling • says he chose Minnesota beacuse of the coaches and because it is the best in his eyes • intends to major in Sports Nutrition
