2010-11 • REDSHIRTED: Finished his true freshman year with an overall record of 8-10 • Recorded three pins and one major decisions • Awarded Freshman Academic Award • Competed at the UNI Open, going 1-2 in the 133 class • Went 1-2 at the Husky Open after pinning Jesse Hylton of Augsburg at 5:03 • Finished 2-2 at the Bison Open, winning his first match by pinning Jacob Love of North Dakota State at 4:28 • Also defeated Adam Jennings of Southwest Minnesota State University, 9-7.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of Bethel Regional High School •A three-time state champion in three different weight classes • Claimed top honors at the state tournament at 125-pounds as a senior in 2009 • Captured the 2008 state championship at 119-pounds • Clinched his first individual title in 2007 at 103-pounds • Maintained a 4.0 GPA and was ranked No. 1 in his class academically.
