Went 20-4 overall in his first season with the Gophers • Recorded four pins, six major decisions and one technical fall • Placed second in the Bison Open to begin the season • Won his first title as a Gopher at the Kaufman-Brand Open after claiming a 13-3 major decision in the quarterfinals and a 10-5 decision over Seth Noble of Northern Iowa in the championship • Edged Augsburg's Cody Hansen in the finals with a 9-6 decision to pick up his second title of the season • Defeated Northwestern's Colin Shober 7-4 at the Midlands Championship • Wrapped up his first season of action at the Flash Open taking third place, beating Wisconsin's Thomas Glenn by a 14-3 major decision in the third-place match.
