DES MOINES, Iowa -- Harun Abda set a new school 800 meters record, and Wally Ellenson qualified for the 2013 Pan Am Junior Athletics Championships in the high jump on Friday at the 2013 U.S. Track and Field Championships.

Abda clocked a 1:46.38 in Friday's 800 meter semifinals at Drake Stadium to claim a new Minnesota record. The All-American finished 12th, but did not advance to the 800 meter finals.
