Aaron Studt Named Big Ten Men's Field Event Athlete of the Week
Minnesota’s Aaron Studt enjoyed a breakout weekend in the shot put and was rewarded by being named the Big Ten Field Event Athlete of the Week. Studt won the shot put in two meets, landing career-leading throws of over 60 feet in both events.

The Gopher sophomore won his first title of the weekend at the Tommie Twilight Meet, marking a throw of 62-7 1/2, a personal best by over three feet. The effort is also the third-best throw in school history and the Big Ten’s top mark this season. Studt added his second title the next day, tossing the shot 60-10 1/2 at the Carleton Relays.

The award is Studt’s first Big Ten weekly honor of his career.
