MINNEAPOLIS (GopherSports.com) -- The University of Minnesota men's track & field team kicks off one of the busiest weeks of the outdoor season on Monday night with the Tomcat Twilight at O'Shaughnessy Stadium in St. Paul.
St. Thomas hosts the meet with field events starting at 4 p.m. CT and track events following at 4:30 p.m. In addition to the Gophers and Tommies, Minnesota Duluth, St. John's, Macalester, UW-Stout and Northwestern (Minn.) are scheduled to compete.

Leonard "Buddy" Edelen became the first man to run a marathon faster than two hours and 15 minutes in 1963.
