MINNEAPOLIS -- The No. 8 Minnesota men's track & field team returns to action this Saturday at the Bill Bergan Invitational in Ames, Iowa. This weekend's meet -- hosted by Iowa State -- marks Minnesota's first road meet of the season.
Thirty one Gophers are scheduled to compete at the event with Minnesota representatives in the 60-meter hurdles , the 60-meter dash , the 1-mile run , the 400-meter dash, the 800-meter run, the 200-meter dash, the 3,000-meter run and the 4x400-meter relay.
The Gophers will also compete in the triple jump, the long jump, the high jump and the pole vault.
Also competing in this weekend's meet are Iowa, Kansas State, Marquette, North Dakota, North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Wisconsin and UT-Arlington.

Additionally, Minnesota's Luke Johnson will compete at the St. Thomas Showcase on Friday. The Gophers will not send a contingency to the Warren Bolus Open this weekend in Menomonie, Wis. as originally scheduled.
