MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota men's track & field program opens the 2013 indoor season this Saturday with the Northwest Open - the first of three home meets at the University of Minnesota Fieldhouse this season.

Saturday's season opener is set to kick off at 11 a.m. CT with regional teams including North Dakota, St. Cloud State, St. Scholastica, Concordia-St. Paul, St. Thomas, Hamline, Minnesota State-Moorhead and Minnesota-Duluth.

Minnesota brings back last year's Big Ten Indoor Track Athlete of the Year in Harun Abda - one of two All-Big Ten First Team selections for the Gophers returning this season along with thrower Micah Hegerle.
