The Minnesota men's outdoor track and field team will send seven individuals as well as the program's 4x400 relay team to the NCAA championships next month in Oregon.

Minnesota Set for NCAA West Prelims in Austin

The Gophers contingency will head to the West region preliminary meet in Austin, Texas (University of Texas) with competition set for May 23-25. Qualifiers from the west regional will compete at the 2013 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships held June 5-8 in Eugene, Ore.

Abda, Siegmeier Add Titles as Gophers Finish Second at Big Tens

The Big Ten Network will air tape-delay coverage of the 2013 Big Ten Outdoor Track and Field Championships at 12 p.m. CT on Sunday, May 19.

2012 Season - Indoor: Competed in a total of six events for the indoor season • finished 15th in the pole vault at the Big Ten Championships with a height of 15-11 3/4 (4.87m) • won at the Northwest Open (15-9 1/4) • also won at the Bethel Invite with a height of (16-0 3/4) • finished tied for third at the Jack Johnson Classic (16-4 3/4, 5.00m). Outdoor: Competed in a total of five events for the outdoor season • placed eighth in the pole vault at the Big Ten Championships with a vault of 16-7 1/4 (5.06m) • placed second in the pole vault at the Tom Cat Twilight, the Drake Alternate, and the Bolstorff Twilight • placed third at the Golden Bear Twilight • Academic All-Big Ten.

Cuesta Junior College: cleared 16-5 in the pole vault.
