The No. 16 University of Minnesota men's track & field program will send six competitors to the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships next month in Oregon.
The Gophers will compete at the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field West Preliminary Round, May 26-28, at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, Kan.
The Maroon & Gold totaled 72 points over the three-day meet.
The University of Minnesota men's track & field program locked up 11 individual titles on Wednesday evening at St Thomas' Tommie Twilight.
Minnesota claimed its fourth 4x800 title in the last six years and its sixth overall title in Drake Relays history.

Indoor: Won victories for the Maroon and Gold at the Wisconsin Duel and the Snowshoe Open. Finished fifth in the long jump at the B1G Indoor Championships. Outdoor: Competed at the Baldy Castillo Invitational, the Stanford Invitational, the Texas Invitational, the Golden Bear Twilight, the Musco Twilight, and the UW La Crosse Eagle Invitational where he took home the title in the long jump.

Indoor: Competed in the high jump at the Jack Johnson Classic finishing third with a height of 6-09 (2.06m) • Took second in the high jump at the Northwest Open (6-08 3/4, 2.05m) • took sixth in the long jump at the Jack Johnson Classic with a height of 22-04 1/4 (6.81m) • won the triple jump at the Jack Johnson Classic with a mark of 14.83 (48-0). Outdoor: Did not compete.
