Ali Claims B1G Steeplechase Crown

Behind Ali's 10 points as 3,000 meter steeplechase champion, the Gophers recorded 25 points on Saturday to jump up to sixth in the team standings ahead of Sunday's final day of competition.


`U' Kicks Off B1G Meet on Friday

Travis cleared a personal record of 14.80 meters (48-06.75 ft.) to lead the collegiate field and pick up his second triple jump victory of the 2018 outdoor campaign (Tom Cat Twilight).


Ali Adds 3KS Title at National Relays

Ali finished with a time of 8:51.25 in his first 3,000 meter steeplechase competition of the year, leading the National Relays field with a performance that ranks second in the Big Ten and 20th in the nation this year.

Second Team All-American in the heptathlon, finishing 10th at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships • his 5,717 points at the national championships rank fourth all-time at Minnesota.

Spent two years at the University of Sioux Falls • a two-time NCAA Division II All-American • the 2017 NSIC Men's Field Athlete of the Year • earned First Team All-America accolades with a seventh-place showing in the heptathlon (2017) and Second Team All-America honors with a 12th-place showing in the decathlon (2017) • holds three USF school records (60-meter hurdles, heptathlon, decathlon) as well as the NSIC decathlon record.
