2013 Season- Indoor: Ran the mile at the Jack Johnson Classic finishing 10th with a time of 4:18.79• competed in the 3,000 meters at the Bill Bergan Invitational finishing seventh with a time of 8:19.97• also finished seventh at the Snowshoe Open (8:40.54). Outdoor: Did not compete.

2012 Season: Big Ten Distinguished Scholar • Academic All-Big Ten.

2011 Season- Indoor:competed in the 800 meter run in the Minnesota Open and placed sixth (2:00.50)·competed in the mile run at the Snowshoe Open and placed sixth (4:14.27)·competed in the mile run at the Minnesota Open and finished with a time of 4:25.04. Outdoor:competed in the St. Thomas Quad in the 1,500 meters and placed first (3:53.58)·ran at the Baldy Castillo Invitational in the 1,500 meters and placed sixth (3:57.61)·ran at the Jim Click Shootout in the 1,500 meters placed tenth (3:58.73)·competed at Musco Twilight in the 5,000 meters and placed first (14:39.69)·competed in the TomCat Open in the 5,000 meters and placed fourth (14:53.85)

2010 Season- Redshirted the indoor and outdoor seasons.

Competed in five meets as a redshirt freshman in 2010.

High School: A 2009 graduate of York High School • high school coaches were Joe Newton and Stan Reddol • the Illinois 2009 Gatorade Runner of the Year • a three-time all-state runner in cross country • the Illinois Class 3A state runner-up as a senior (14:19) • placed fifth as a junior and 15th as a sophomore • team won state title in 2006, runner-up in 2007 and 2008 • placed 23rd in the 2008 Foot Locker National Championship • led York to state team track title in 2009 • state champion in the 3,200 meters (9:03.91) and third in 1,600 meters (4:13.35) as a senior • state runner-up in the 3,200 meters as a junior • ran high school bests of 9:01 in the 3,200m and 4:08 in 1,600m • earned three varsity letters in both cross country and track.
