The Maroon & Gold started the two-day competition with wins from Mitch Hechsel (800 meters), Evan Ferlic (1,500 meters) and Luca Wieland (shot put).
The Gophers closed out the 2017 home slate on Friday night with the Snowshoe Open at the University of Minnesota Fieldhouse.
Goaner Deng was less than a quarter of a second off All-American Harun Abda’s University of Minnesota Fieldhouse record with his win in the 800 meters.
Nick Bachinski picked up a win and a personal record in the high jump for the second week in a row.
The Gophers return to action at home next weekend with the Minnesota Open.

Outdoor: At the 2015 Carleton Relays, placed 5th unattached in the 800 meters with a time of 1:56.81 • at the Musco Twilight Invitational finished 12th in the 1500 meters with a time of 3:58.70 unattached.

Cross Country: 2012-13) • a two-time captain for the cross country squad and a two-time team MVP • also earned MVP distinction for the Bemidji track and field program • holds Bemidji High School records for the 800 meters (1:54), the 1,600 meters (4:15), the 5,000 meters (15:47) and the 4x800 relay • earned a total of 18 letters at Bemidji (four in cross country, four in track, two in National Honor Society, two in jazz band, three in concert band and three academic letters • also played hockey for nine years including three years in high school.
