Career Highlights: A 2010 NCAA Preliminary Meet competitor in the 1,500 meters a 2009 NCAA Midwest Region Championships competitor in 1,500 meters as a true freshman 2009 All-Big Ten Second Team as a member of Gophers' distance medley relay ranked sixth in the indoor 800 meters (1:50.51) on Gophers' top-10 list.
2012 Season: Did not compete.
2011 Indoor:competed in the mile run at the Bill Bergan and placed first (4:09.53) competed in the Husky Open in the mile run and finished with a time of 4:08.25) competed in the mile run at the Big Ten Championship and finished with a time of 4:09.71 competed in the 3,000 meters at the Northwest Open and finished second (8:56.88) Outdoor:competed in the Jim Click Shoot in the 800 meter run and finished sixth( 1:53.12) ran the 800 meters at the Baldy Castillo Championship and placed eighth (1:53.16) competed at the NCAA West Prelims in 1,500 meters and finished with a time of 3:49.72 ran the Mt. 2010 Season - Indoor: Traveled to NCAA as alternate for distance medley relay ran the mile in four meets placed seventh at the Big Ten Championships won the mile title at the Iowa State Classic with a season-best time of 4:05.29 led off the distance medley relay that placed second at the Alex Wilson Invitational with the second-fast time in school history (9:33.86). Outdoor: Competed in the 1,500 meters at the NCAA Preliminary Meet clocked a time of 3:49.86 in the NCAA first round ran a season-best 1,500m time of 3:46.34 at the Sun Angel Classic an Academic All-Big Ten honoree earned second varsity letter.
2009 Season -Indoor: All-Big Ten Second Team anchored Big Ten runner-up distance medley relay placed eighth in the 800 meters (1:52.81) at Big Ten meet ran an NCAA provisional and Minnesota freshman record time of 1:50.51 in 800m at Iowa State Classic led off DMR that ran an NCAA provisional time of 9:40.46 at Alex Wilson Invitational. Outdoor: An NCAA Midwest Region Championships competitor in the 1,500 meters placed 11th with a time of 3:54.48 clocked season-best time of 3:46.07 in regional prelim placed seventh in the 1,500m (4:00.68) at Big Ten Championships ran the second leg of the Drake Relays champion 4x1,600-meter relay varsity letterwinner.
A three-year team member raced in two meets as a sophomore in 2010.
A 2008 graduate of Irondale High School high coach was Jesse Abing only ran one season of high school cross country placed sixth (15:57.7) overall in the 2007 Minnesota Class AA Cross Country Championships four-time all-state performer in track placed third in both the 800 (1:51.06) meters and 1,600 meters as a senior, second in 800m and third in 1,600m (4:10.78) as a junior also lettered in hockey and football during his high school career scored two last-second, game-winning goals the week he signed his NLI to attend Minnesota a member of the National Honor Society.

Obsa Ali Captures NCAA Steeplechase Crown
