Reder Presents at USTFCCCA Convention

Reder has coached Gopher student-athletes to four-straight Big Ten outdoor titles in the hammer throw.

2012 Season - Indoor: Competed in a total of four events for the indoor season • threw 61-11 1/2 (18.88m) in the weight throw at the Big Ten Championships, finishing 11th • placed fourth at the Snowshoe Open in the weight throw with a distance of 63-6 (19.35m). Outdoor: All-American, finishing fifth in the hammer throw at the NCAA Championships (212-11) • Big Ten champion in the hammer with an all-time school record throw of 220-1 (67.08m) • placed third at the Drake Relays (212-3) • won the hammer throw at the Iowa Musco Twilight with a throw of 215-0 (65.54m) • third at the Aztec Invite • also competed in the hammer at the Texas Relays and Stanford Invite • Capital One Academic All-American • Big Ten Distinguished Scholar • Academic All-Big Ten.

2011 Season - Indoor: Competed in five meets • longest toss of the season was 66-9 (20.36m) at the Big Ten championships where he finished fifth in the weight throw • won the ISU Classic with a throw of 63-9 (19.43m) • finished fourth (62-0) at the Snowshoe Open. Outdoor: Big Ten champion in the Hammer with a toss of 207-8 (63.31m) • took second (203-5) at the Sun Angel Invite • finished second (183-3) at the Concordia Host Invite • letterwinner.

National and International: Placed second at the 2010 French Under-23 Championships with a throw of 206-0 • set a personal record of 207-6 in an eighth place finish at the 2010 French Championships • national U23 champion in 2009 (202-7) • took ninth in 6-kilogram hammer at the European Junior Championships in July 2007.
