Outdoor: An All-American, finishing fourth in the 5,000 meters (13:42.53) finished second in the 5,000m at the Big Ten Championships with a time of 13:51.02 ran a time of 28:12.74 in the 10,000 meters at the Payton Jordan Invite, setting the all-time school record won the 1,500 meters at the Hamline Invite (3:52.47) Academic All-Big Ten.
2011 Season - Indoor: Competed in the 3,000 meters at the Snowshoe Open and took second overall with a time of 8:05.33. Outdoor: Big Ten Champion in the 10,000 meters with a time of 29:04.79 finished third at the Big Ten championships in the 5,000 meters (14:03.21) took eighth at the Mt. SAC Relays with a time of 14.45.68 in the 5,000 meters ran the first leg of the third place 4x1,600-meter relay (16:40.29) at the Drake Relays also ran the fourth leg in the distance medley relay (9:38.09) at the Drake Relays that took first letterwinner.

Indoor: All-Big Ten Second Team Conference runner-up in the 5,000 meters (14:26.63) added a third-place finish in the 3,000 meters (8:11.73) clocked a season best of 8:01.08, the second-fastest in school history, at the Husky Classic. Outdoor:Captured first track NCAA All-America honor in the 5,000 meters placed sixth in a school-record time of 13:44.30 Big Ten champion in the 5,000 meters (14:16.38) ran an Olympic Trials "B" Standard and the third-fastest time in school history in the 5,000 meters (13:49.35) at the Stanford Peyton Jordan Cardinal Invitational varsity letterwinner.
One of two (Chris Rombough) three-time All-Americans in Gopher history earned honors in 2007, 2008 and 2009 2008 and 2009 NCAA Midwest Region and Big Ten champion 2008 and 2009 NCAA Midwest Region Runner of the Year 2007 Big Ten Freshman of the Year Fred O. Watson Award, as the team's MVP in 2007 (co), 2008 (co) and 2009 three-time varsity letterwinner redshirted the 2010 season.
A 2007 graduate Minneapolis South High School coach was Mark Gross a four-time all-state performer in track state runner-up in the 3,200 meters in 2007, third in 2006 placed fifth in the two mile run at the 2007 Nike Outdoor Nationals with a time of 8:51.23, the third best time in Minnesota high school history.
