2013 Season- Indoor: Did not compete.Outdoor: Did not compete.

2012 Season - Indoor: Competed in a total of six events for the indoor season • finished 15th in the pole vault at the Big Ten Championships with a vault of 15-11 3/4 • finished third in the pole vault at the Snowshoe Open (16-5 3/4, 5.01m) • placed third in the heptathlon at the Jack Johnson Classic with a mark of 4,737 • placed fourth in the 60-meter hurdles at the Northwest Open (8.90). Outdoor: Did not compete.

2011 Season: Redshirted the Indoor and Outdoor seasons.

High School: A 2010 graduate of Moorhead High School • high school coaches were Tony Spandl, Lindsey Bucholtz, and Dennis Nelson • 2010 Minnesota Class 2A state pole vault champion • set state pole vault record at 15-8 and section record at 15-5 • named Minnesota Gatorade Athlete of the Year • also lettered in soccer.

Personal: Born April 7, 1992 • intends to major in kinesiology • son of Tony Spandl and Karen Peterson • has older siblings, Jacenta and Brock • brother, Brock, also pole vaulted for the Gophers • sister, Jacinta, was a multi-event competitor for the Gophers (2003-07) • enjoys hunting, fishing, and soccer.
