John Simons, Dominique Howard, Jon Lehman, Wally Ellenson and Zach Siegmeier will represent the Gophers at the NCAA championships next month in Eugene, Ore.
The duo join senior pole vaulter Zach Siegmeier, who qualified for the NCAA championships on Thursday.
The Gophers list 16 team members competing in individual events at the regional meet as well as the 4x400 meter relay team.
Four returning outdoor All-Americans will lead the charge for Minnesota with two-time honoree Jacob Capek attempting to capture his third career accolade in the 4x400 meter relay.
Zach Siegmeier won his third overall Big Ten title and Trevor Yedoni captured his first career conference title for the University of Minnesota.
2013 Season- Indoor: Placed fourth in the weight throw at the SPIRE DI Challenge with a distance of 67-04 3/4 (20.54m) also competed in the weight throw at the Iowa State Classic finishing first with a distance of 67-0 1/2 (20.46m) At the Showshoe Open he finished second with a distance of 66-07 3/4 (20.31m) andthrid at the Northwest Open with a distance of 58-03 1/2 (17.76). Outdoor: competed in the discus at the NDSU Tune UP finishing first with a throw of 188-02 (57.36m) finished third in discus at Iowa Musco Invitational with distance of 182-08 3/4 (55.72) finished fourth in hammer at the UCSD Triton Invitational with a throw of 191-11 (58.49m).
2012 Season - Indoor: Placed fourth in the weight throw at the Northwest Open with a distance of 52-0 1/2 (15.86m) also competed in the weight throw at the Iowa State Classic (50-9 1/4) and Snowshoe Open (53-10 1/2). Outdoor: Competed in a total of 13 events of the outdoor season competed in the discus at the Big Ten Championships with a throw of 170-7 (52.00m) also competed in the hammer throw with a toss of 164-7 (50.16m) finished second in the discus at the Bolstorff Twilight with a toss of 178-4 (54.36m) placed fifth in discus at the UNI Open (169-8) finished second in discus (167-5) and hammer (176-0) at the Hamline Invite placed third at the Drake Alternates (159-08, 48.66m) finished fourth in the hammer at the Bolstorff Twilight with a throw of 176-9 (53.88m).
2011 Season: Redshirted both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
