Minnesota heads into the championship season next weekend with the 2018 Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
The Gophers picked up wins in the long jump, the triple jump and the 4x400 as they head into the final home meet of the 2018 schedule next Friday with the Snowshoe Open at the University of Minnesota Fieldhouse on campus.
Webb clocked a 21.20 to pace the 200 meter field – second only in Gophers program history to Mitch Potter’s 21.09 in 2004. He also added a sixth-place finish in the 60 meters at 6.85.
Rink, who won the Jim Emmerich Invitational two weeks ago at South Dakota State, clocked a 4:10.88 on Friday to claim his second win in the mile and also post a personal record in the event for the second meet in a row.
The Maroon & Gold posted three of the top-four heptathlon finishes over the two-day meet with newcomer Teddy Frid leading the Gophers with a runner-up finish at 4,438 points.
