The Minnesota men's outdoor track and field team scored 99 points in a winning effort at the 2013 Macalester/Bolstorff Twilight on Thursday night. The Gophers earned four individual titles for the program's second-straight team title at the meet.
The Gophers claimed nine individual titles at the Hamline Invitational and placed multiple competitors in the 800-meter run, the 1,500-meter run, the high jump, the pole vault and the discus throw.
Friday's meet marks the final home meet of the year for the Minnesota men's indoor track and field program.
2012 Season - Indoor: Competed in two events during the indoor season placed third in the pole vault at the Bethel Invite with a height of 15-7 (4.75m) also cleared 15-7 at the Jack Johnson Classic. Outdoor: Finished third in the pole vault at the Bolstorff Twilight Academic All-Big Ten.
2011 Season - Outdoor: Won the pole vault at the Macalester Twilight cleared a season-best 15-7 3/4 (4.77m) at the St. Thomas Quad.
2010 Season - Indoor: Competed in six meets cleared a season-best of 15-7 at the Bill Bergan Invitational. Outdoor: Vaulted in three meets placed third at the Hamline Unsaintly Meet with a season-best height of 15-11 varsity letterwinner.
2009 Season - Redshirted the indoor and outdoor seasons.
High School: A 2008 graduate of Fargo South High School high school coach was Paul Lenn the 2007 North Dakota Class A pole vault champion (14-6) runner-up as a senior and a four-time all-state performer team was state runner-up in 2008 four-time letterwinner in track and wrestling, once in cross country.
