A day after helping the Gophers to the squad's third 4x800 meter relay title in as many years, Travis Burkstrand and Harun Abda put together a 1-2 finish in the 800 meters on Saturday in front of a sellout crowd of 14,504.
The Minnesota men's outdoor track and field team scored 99 points in a winning effort at the 2013 Macalester/Bolstorff Twilight on Thursday night. The Gophers earned four individual titles for the program's second-straight team title at the meet.
2012 Season - Indoor: Competed in a total of three events for the indoor season • landed a toss of 55-1 (16.79m) in the shot put at the Big Ten Championships • finished second at the Bethel Invite with a throw of 51-7 (15.72m) • threw 52-1 (15.87m) at the Iowa State Classic. Outdoor: Threw the shot 53-7 3/4 (16.35m) and the discus 162-0 (49.39m) at the UNI Open.
