2010 Season - Indoor: Ran in four meets • ran his top time of 8:20.27 in the 3,000 meters at the Bill Bergan Invitational • raced to a time of 14:27.33 in the 5,000 meters at the Husky Classic. Outdoor:An NCAA Preliminary Meet competitor in the 10,000 meters • ran a time of 31:21.43 in the NCAA quarterfinal • placed 12th in the 10k at the Big Ten Championships with a season-best time of 29:46.25 • an Academic All-Big Ten honoree • varsity letterwinner.
2009 Season: Redshirted the indoor and outdoor seasons. Cross Country: A 2010 and 2011 All-Midwest Region honoree • a member of Gophers' NCAA squads in 2009, 2010, and 2011 • Academic All-Big Ten • three-time letterwinner.
High School: A 2008 graduate of Washburn High School • high school coaches were Noelle Palmer and Sarah Gustafson • placed third (15:44.5, 5K) at the 2007 Minnesota Class AA Cross Country Championships • 2007 sectional and Minneapolis City Conference medalist • clocked a personal best of 15:37, placing 19th at the 2007 Foot Locker Midwest Region Championship • placed 22nd in state meet as a junior, 90th as a sophomore • two-time all-state honoree his senior track season • placed third in the 3,200-meter run (9:21.81) and eighth in the 1,600 meters (4:24.15) • competed in both those events at state as a junior • graduated second in his class.
